US Newsstream enables users to search the most recent premium U.S. news content, as well as archives which stretch back into the 1980s featuring newspapers, newswires, blogs, and news sites in active full-text format. This database includes access to the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and The Wall Street Journal. To find other materials that cite a case, law, law review article, etc. that is displayed in the database, click on the “Citing References” tab and limit as needed. Now, when an article or book is available in the Doane library you can click on the “Find it at Doane” link, which will take you to the catalog or journals A-Z link for fulltext access. You also can find journal articles, books, presentations, research published in institutional repositories, and citations. And it must move in that direction because the groups that feel alienated by the court are not going to just sit there and accept what they see as declarations from a detached Olympus.
An expert on cultural rights, including the use of the “cultural defense” in the legal system, Professor Renteln has lectured to judicial organizations and law enforcement groups on this subject. She served on the State Bar Commission on Access to Justice and the California Judicial Council Access and Fairness Advisory Committee. She also served as a member of the California Attorney General’s Commission Hate Crimes.
There are normative questions and there are social-change questions of the sort raised by Rosenberg in The Hollow Hope. So I think that, yes, the state does have an important role which consists in seeking to maintain the balance between Jewishness and democracy in the identity of the state. But these questions are not only or mainly political, and therefore civil society and leadership of many groups should also be involved.

The Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy is published three times annually by the Harvard Society for Law & Public Policy, Inc., an organization of Harvard Law School students.

Claims for issues not received will be honored only if requested within six months of the actual mailing of the issue. The Spring 2012 edition of the Journal welcomed Alexander Fullman as Editor-in-Chief and published works from six undergraduate authors, covering topics such as a global mandated choice organ procurement program and the California DREAM Act. Michael began working with the Journal as an Associate in 2020 and is now a Lead Editor and Director of Submissions.
